Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa
Rector of Tra Vinh University, Viet Nam (Chairman)
Minh-Hoa Nguyen was born in Tra Vinh, Vietnam. He received the B.E. degree in electrical and electronics engineering and the M.E. degree in control engineering from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam, in 2002 and 2005, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in engineering and applied science from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Idaho State University, USA. He joined the Faculty of Tra Vinh University, Vietnam, in 2002, and became the Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, Tra Vinh University, from 2006 to 2009 and from 2013 to 2019. He was appointed the Vice Rector with Tra Vinh University, in 2019. He become the Rector of Tra Vinh university in 2022. His research interests include advanced control strategies, including sliding mode control, model predictive control, adaptive control, intelligent control, and their applications in renewable energy systems, power systems, and building energy management systems.
Associate Prof. Dr. Đao Ngoc Tien
Vice- President of FTU, Viet Nam (Co-chair)
Associate Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien graduated with a master’s degree from La Trobe University and received a doctorate degree in economics from Foreign Trade University. His research and teaching fields focus on trade policy and key issues in Vietnam’s international economic integration process.
Prof. Dao Ngoc Tien is a leading expert in international trade with extensive experience in teaching, research, and policy consulting in Vietnam. He also serves as a senior expert for technical assistance projects of Vietnam in its international economic integration, such as Star+, EU-Mutrap, Arise+, GIZ, providing guidance to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, various ministries, and Vietnamese enterprises in effectively implementing commitments in various Free Trade Agreements.
At Foreign Trade University, Prof. Dao Ngoc Tien is holding the position of Vice President and making significant contributions to promoting scientific research activities, enhancing academic capabilities, and elevating the research position of Foreign Trade University. Additionally, he has been working towards facilitating knowledge and technology transfer from Foreign Trade University to both the private and public sectors
Dr. Doan Van Cong
Founder & Executive leader of VSF CCSD and the UniTo, Italy (Co-chair)
Dr. Doan Van Cong is currently serving as a young research fellow (RTDA) at the Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology, the University of Turin, Italy. Dr. Doan has a track record in successful international grant applications for his study and research: Vietnamese Excellent Student Awards and Odon Vallet scholarships for his BSc in Crop Science (top class) at the Cantho University 2011-2014; the FAO, and Hungarian government fellowship (10% worldwide) for his MSc in Plant Protection at the Pannonia University, Hungary 2015-2017; The UniBe fellowship (top 10% worldwide) for his Ph.D. in Climate Science at the University Bern, Switzerland 2017-2020 and The Turkish government fellowship for his Ph.D in Plant Protection; and the Marie Curie Seal of Excellent proposal, and Italian Government for Young Talent Researcher postdoc at the Turin University 2022-2025. Dr. Doan acquired international knowledge and experience in Hungary, Switzerland, Germany and Italy. Internationally, Dr. DOAN has established multi-disciplinary research projects involving the cross-country team, and multi-scale cross-country (Switzerland-Germany-Italy, Hungary-Vietnam, Germany-Vietnam), developing a strong collaboration with international donors, universities, and research organizations. Dr. DOAN is also the founder of the Vietnam Science Forum on Climate Change and Sustainable Development (VSF CCSD) and QCVN Academy where Dr. Doan wants to provide a place for international researchers discussing agri-global climate change.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung is the Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University. He is in charge of international collaboration, scientific research and service development of Tra Vinh University. He has extensive experience in research and international publication in the fields of economics, agriculture and rural development. He is interested in developing partners to promote academic and research activities.
Dr. Tran Thi Ngoc Bich (BICA)
Vice Director – Institute of Environmental Science and Technology, TVU, Viet Nam
Tran Thi Ngoc Bich was born in Tra Vinh, Vietnam. She received the B.E. degree in aquaculture and the M.Sc. degree in Animal Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA, in 2011 and 2013, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Environmental engineering from the Department of Engineering, Da-Yeh University, Taiwan. She's been a part of Tra Vinh University since 2005, and she's held some important positions there. From 2014 to 2021, she was the Vice Dean of the School of Agriculture and Aquaculture. And from June 2021 until now, she's the Vice Director of the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology. Dr. Bich is also involved in some really cool projects. She's a member of the UI Green Metric Team at Tra Vinh University, which focuses on making the university more environmentally friendly. She's also a member of the Science and Technology Department of the Association of Community Colleges of Vietnam. Her research interests include advanced solutions to climate change adaptation, including forest resilience and reforest mangrove, saline agriculture, aquaponics/ hydroponics, water retention and collection, renewable energy sector.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Xuan Binh

Associate Prof. Dr. Hoang Xuan Binh is a senior lecturer of Macroeconomics in the Faculty of International Economics at Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. He obtained his PhD in Economics in 2011 from the Foreign Trade University. His research interests include macroeconomic analysis, economic policy, and digitalization.
Associate Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Nam
Head of Research Management, FTU, Viet Nam
Associate Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Nam is a senior lecturer of Development Economics in the Faculty of International Economics at Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. He obtained his PhD in economics in 2008 from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, Japan. His research interests include development economics, industrial development, firm innovation, development of small- and medium-sized enterprises, and business environment. His publications are in World Development, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Development Studies, Economics of Innovation and New Technology.
Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung
Co-founder & Deputy leader for Climate Change, VSF CCSD
Dr. Nguyen is a postdoc at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU, Israel) where he is a team member of Prof. Simon Barak’s Lab (BGU) and Dr. Gidon Winters’ Lab (ADSSC). His current research includes seagrasses’ response to multiple stressors, seagrass monitoring and seagrass restoration. Dr. Nguyen co-found VSF-CCSD and he is leading the Climate Change related-activities of the team.

Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Tuong Anh is a senior lecturer of Microeconomics in the Faculty of International Economics at Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. She obtained his PhD in Economics in 2012 from the Foreign Trade University. Her research interests include firm innovation, firm behavior, and consumer behavior. Her publications are in the International Journal of Business and Globalisation, Forum for Social Economics, International Journal of Economics and Business Research, SAGE Open and International Journal of Procurement Management.
Dr. Luong Thi Ngoc Oanh

Dr. Luong Thi Ngoc Oanh is a senior lecturer of Development Economics in the Faculty of International Economics at Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. She obtained her PhD in Development economics in 2017 from the Central Institute for Economic Management. Her research interests include development economics, gender inequality, global value chain and trade policy.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen

Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen is a senior lecturer of Environmental Economics, Economics of climate change, Circular Economy in the Faculty of International Economics at Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. She obtained her PhD in economics in 2018 from the National Economics University in Vietnam and intern at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, USA in 2016.

Dr. Mai Nguyen Ngoc is a senior lecturer of Environmental Economics in the Faculty of International Economics at Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. She obtained his PhD in Economics in 2012 from the Kyoto University. Her research interests include green economy, circular economy, and consumer behavior.

Ms. Hoang Bao Tram is a senior lecturer of Development Economics in the Faculty of International Economics at Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. She obtained her master degree in Economics in 2010 from Paris Dauphine University, France. Her research interests include development economics, firm innovation, development of small- and medium-sized enterprises, and business environment. Her publications are in Journal of International Economics and Management, Journal of International Development, Economics of Innovation and New Technology.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tuu
Vice Director – Institute of Environmental Science and Technology, TVU, Viet Nam
Dr. Tuu has experience in climate change adaptation research. He did a study on hydraulic modeling for flood simulation in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta under the impact of climate change. In addition, he has described a new approach to system dynamics modeling on the interaction among climate, human activities, and economic effects on surface water. Moreover, his studies were related to water treatment technology and biotechnology.
Dr. Nguyen Hoang Lam
Lecturer, TVU, Viet Nam
Nguyen Hoang Lam was born in Tra Vinh province, Vietnam. He got his Bachelor of Engineering and Master's degrees in Environmental Science from Can Tho University in 2014 and 2016, respectively. In 2023, he completed his Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Yeungnam University, Korea. Since 2018, Dr. Lam has been a member of Tra Vinh University, actively contributing to diverse research and projects spanning environmental treatment, climate change adaptation, agricultural photovoltaics, photoelectrochemical water splitting (PEC), hydrogen development, and renewable energy. Furthermore, he has undertaken several projects leveraging Artificial Intelligence to manage solar farms. Dr. Lam's diverse expertise and cutting-edge research areas can help him engage in many areas of the environment in general and renewable energy in particular.
Dr. Bui Thanh Long
Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics, School of Economics and Law at TVU, Viet Nam
Dr. Long has been working at Tra Vinh University for over 20 years; his studies focus on sustainable development including tackling microfinance, gender equity, poverty reduction, and the threats of climate change within local/rural areas in developing countries. Dr. Long completed MSc in 2013 at Griffith College Dublin, Ireland; PhD in 2020 at Technological University Dublin, Ireland. Dr. Long has been published in several academic journals, and presented his findings at many international conferences. Furthermore, he had strong experiences in the local/rural development projects including microcredit for rural women in Mekong Delta; Tra Vinh Improved Livelihoods Project; Protection and Development of Coastal Wetlands in South Vietnam; Vocational training project in rural areas of Vietnam. Dr. Long has been supervising a number of MSc and PhD students in financial economics in Vietnam and Ireland, and he also committed to mentoring and supporting young scholars in their academic pursuits. He intends to deliver development economics in developing countries to promote sustainable development goals with the main target of financial inclusion on health economics and climate change.
Dr. Vo Thi Diem Thuy

Vo Thi Diem Thuy is currently the Vice- Head of Logistics Department, School of Economics and Law, Tra Vinh University, Vietnam. She obtained her Ph.D. from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. Her research interests include cross- level analyses on ethical and psychosocial issues, cultural values, and organizational behavior.
Dr. Chau Thi Hoang Hoa
Head of department of the Investment Promotion, TVU, Viet Nam
Chau Thi Hoang Hoa, PhD. in TESOL, a lecturer and researcher in language education, has been working in different positions as an intermediate manager of divisions, centres, and projects. With more than 20 years connected to Tra Vinh College of Education and Tra Vinh University, she has gained experience in the fields of administration, education, international relation and community engagement. She has been an active manager of many collaborative projects: (1) coordinator of project implementing transnational program, Master Management between Tra Vinh University and Southern Leyte State University, The Philippines; (2) coordinator of a community project between Tra Vinh Province and Vietnam Honorary Consulate in Aichi, Japan to enhance oral health for primary school students in Tra Vinh city; (3) project director of Tra Vinh King Sejong Institute sponsored by Korean government; and (2) coordinator of an project on enhancing capacity for medical staff and students on rehabilitation and physical therapy, in collaboration with WellGroup, sponsored by JICA. Holding a doctorate degree in TESOL, she leads many educational studies in language teaching education, focusing on developing intercultural communicative competence for Vietnamese high school students.

Dr. Le Phuong Thao Quynh
Senior Lecturer FTU, VN; Co-founder and Deputy leader in Finance and Policies,VSF CCSD; The Rennes School of Business (France) and the Inland University (Norway)
Le Phuong Thao Quynh is currently working at the Rethinking Tomorrow’s Organizations, Rennes School of Business (France) and the Inland University (Norway). Her academic background lies in economics and finance. She got her master’s in business with a specialization in Banking and Finance from Monash University in Australia. Additionally, she completed the Leadership in International Security course at the Geneva Centre of International Security from 2018 to 2019. Her Ph.D. project centers on “Multilevel ambidexterity towards sustainable performance in SMEs: an innovation perspective (with a focus on Vietnam’s agricultural SMEs)”. Work experience: She had 1 year working in industry in a project department of a technology company in Hanoi. Subsequently, she transitioned to academia, working as a Macroeconomics Lecturer at Foreign Trade University in Vietnam for 10 years. Quynh’s main interest is to develop her skills in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to enhance their application in her research.
Dr. Thieu Ngoc Lan Phuong

Dr. Thieu Ngoc Lan Phuong is a veterinarian (currently known as University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest, Hungary, dr. vet, 2014) and an indigenous animals conservation expert (Széchenyi István University, Hungary, PhD, 2019) with 9 years of experience in poultry sector. She specializes in poultry breeding and poultry genetics. She has a passion for green policies and solutions related to emission produced by poultry industry as well as strenghthening the bilateral cooperation between Hungary and Vietnam in term of research and development. In her free time, Dr. Lan Phuong enjoys traveling and community work.
Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc Ha

Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc Ha is a lecturer at Nong Lam University. She graduated with a PhD in plant protection. Her research focuses on isolation, identification, and application of beneficial microbial organisms in crop protection and using alternative mediums such as nano materials and biochar for controlling plant disease.
